Here are 6 Most Important things to get your Business off to a Great Start! The following steps can help set your Business up for Success!

While you are waiting for your Starter Kit to arrive, your first challenge is to DREAM BIG! What would you like to achieve in your Mary Kay Business? You will want to contact your Independent Sales Director or recruiter to discuss your goals and to evaluate what initial inventory order you might need to service your customers.

1. Begin creating your list of women you know! Use FRANKS as a starting point…
F-friends, R-relatives, A-acquaintances, N-neighbors, K-kid connections, and
S-services you use (stylist, trainers, etc.) Shoot for a minimum of 100. Pretend you are planning your wedding and use your phone contacts and social media to help jog your memory!

2. Download the Great Start App and watch the Inventory Options video below. With your director (in person or on video chat), you’ll choose your initial product decision that best fits your business needs. Your first order and first 15 days are vitally important!

3. Send an e-catalog to your immediate circle of family and friends and pick the date for your First Beauty Session or Virtual Grand Opening with your recruiter or director, start inviting guests and taking orders!​

Be a Savvy Boss Babe and work on this checklist to get your business up and running.

1. Log into www.marykayintouch.com and register with your Consultant ID (it would be in the very first email from Mary Kay) and create a password. You will want to memorize your login. The InTouch website is where you will see your first steps, get online training, see fun contests, events, manage customers, and order your products.

2. Set up your personal website so your friends and family can start shopping. (See a sample script below)

3. Set up your ProPay account so you can accept debit/credit cards on your website. Under the ordering tab, click ProPay to set up your account. Once set up, it will automatically link to your Personal Website.

4. Order your Business Cards on Mary Kay Intouch/MK Connections.

5. Keep your business money separate from your personal money by setting up a separate FREE checking account. This isn’t a “business checking” but a FREE  personal checking account. Be sure to get a debit card and you may want to secure a line of credit or zero or low-interest credit card for business purposes only.

6. Download the Voxer app and all the Mary Kay Mobile Apps.  Search “Mary Kay” in your app store.

Sample Script: Here’s a sample of what you can post to make the announcement to your friends or send a personal message/text:

“Hi Friends! This just happened! I have opened the doors to my new Mary Kay business. I am really excited about it! Want to know the perfect foundation shade for your skin tone and make sure you’re wearing the right foundation? Take these fun quizzes on my new website: marykay.com/__________ Foundation finder quiz:_________  Mascara Match quiz:__________  and I’ll have a Free Gift for you!!”

Who do you do life with? Make a list of at least 100 people in your life. If you were to make an invite list for your wedding, who would you invite? Include friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, church, gym, school, social media contacts, etc. These are your prospective customers. Highlight or circle your 15 most favorite people.

It’s simple and fun! Consider sharing how fun a Mary Kay business can be with your friends, family, and customers.
